IEE Apprentice Researchers Final Presenations

August 01, 2019

The Institute for Energy Efficiency (IEE) Apprentice Researchers Program is hosted at the University of California, Santa Barbara, by the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships (CSEP) at the California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI).

In the Apprentice Researchers program, high school students have the opportunity to do hands-on scientific investigations in a dynamic research environment, and to learn to give effective oral presentations on their findings.  The students chosen for the program work with graduate student researchers in UCSB science and engineering laboratories, gaining first-hand experience in how science research is conducted. They will also gain experience in preparing and presenting talks to disseminate their research findings.

Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of the 2019 IEE Apprentice Researchers on Thursday, August 1, 5:00-8:00 PM in 1601 Elings Hall.  These 12 high school seniors will be presenting their summer science and engineering research investigations; ranging from photonics to genetics to water management.
